2009 Governor’s Export Achievement Award
MAY, 2009 - MBW Inc was awarded the “2009 Governor’s Export Achievement Award”. This is initiated from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, Division of Investment and Export in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
Each year, the Wisconsin Governor recognizes Wisconsin firms and organizations that have achieved extraordinary results in international markets or have contributed to Wisconsin’s ability to compete globally. The awards were presented by Governor James Doyle on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee. MBW won the category in “Manufacturing Exporter non-agricultural manufactured products”. There is only one selected in this category for the entire State.
Nominees were evaluated against organizations or firms of similar size. The nominee’s criteria was to show innovation, effectiveness, and special effort in growing exports, enhancing employment, the economy, and Wisconsin’s international prestige.
They expressed that the story of MBW from humble beginning to present really intrigued them in choosing the company. MBW is the type of Wisconsin company they were looking for a company that truly sprung ahead, grew and survived through the many obstacles that this market has always challenged.
